Alex works in our Account Management team, dealing with customers on a daily basis. Here is a bit more about what his role involves.
What is your role and what does it involve?
As an account manager we are responsible for managing all existing client relationships and ensuring our customers are maximising their use of the platform. We are the main revenue generating team for the firm and need to identify/drive revenue opportunities as well as cross sell additional products to our existing client base.
What are some of the challenges you are facing in your role?
One of the key challenges is managing expectations for a demanding portfolio of clients. We work very closely alongside our risk team who underwrite the limits we offer. Client discussions can often be quite sensitive and challenging, so it is always important to manage expectations and work in partnership with risk to deliver the best solution possible for clients.

What kind of training have you received?
A wide range of training has been provided across product, industry and my individual role. Each new joiner will receive a tailored training program and cover specific areas such as alternative finance, working capital, sales training etc
What do you hope your future at MI looks like?
As the firm continues to grow, I would expect my role to grow and evolve alongside the firm. Hard work is rewarded here and there are always opportunities to step up and take on more responsibility.
